T&J Marketing · Blog Barbershop and Salon Websites That Get You Booked
Your chair only makes money when it is full. Here is what a barbershop or salon website needs to turn a quick search into a booked appointment.

Why barbers and stylists need more than Instagram
Instagram is great for showing off fresh fades and color work, and many shops get their first clients there. But when someone new in town searches "barbershop near me" or "hair salon open Sunday," Google shows websites and Google profiles first, not your Instagram grid. A simple website gives those searchers a clear place to see your prices, your hours and a button to book. It also works for the clients who do not use Instagram at all.
The good news is that a booking-ready website does not need to be big or expensive. It needs a few things done well.
1. A "Book now" button everywhere
Put a booking button at the top of every page, and repeat it after your services. If you already use an online booking app, such as Square, Booksy, Vagaro, StyleSeat or Fresha, link the button straight to your booking page. If you take appointments by phone or text, use click-to-call and click-to-text buttons instead. Many clients would rather text "Do you have anything Saturday?" than call.
2. Services with real prices
Clients want to know what things cost before they book. List your main services with a starting price and how long each one takes:
- Men's cut, skin fade, beard trim and hot towel shave
- Kids' cuts
- Women's cut and style
- Color, highlights and balayage
- Blowouts, braids and special-occasion styling
Even "starting at" prices build trust and cut down on back-and-forth messages. They also give Google more words to match to what people search for.
3. Photos of your actual work
For a barbershop or salon, photos are the menu. Show your best cuts, color transformations and styles, plus a couple of shots of your chairs and your space so new clients know what to expect when they walk in. Use your own photos, keep them bright and sharp, and update them a few times a year. If you post a lot on Instagram, link your profile so people can see more.
4. Meet the team
People book a person, not just a shop. A short section with each barber's or stylist's name, photo and specialty, such as fades, curly hair or color, helps clients pick the right chair. If each stylist has their own booking link, put it right under their photo.
5. Reviews that build confidence
Trying a new barber or stylist feels risky. Reviews make it easier. Show your Google star rating and a few short reviews on your site, and link to your Google profile. After a great appointment, send happy clients a quick text with your review link. You can see how we show our own reviews on our reviews page.
6. Hours, location area and walk-ins
Make your hours easy to find, and say whether you take walk-ins. Name the neighborhood or part of town you are in, add a map link for directions, and mention parking if it helps. Keep your hours and phone number exactly the same on your website and your Google Business Profile so customers never show up to a locked door.
7. Local SEO basics for salons and barbershops
To show up in "near me" searches, use your city and neighborhood naturally in your page title and text, such as "barbershop in Northeast Minneapolis" or "hair salon in downtown St. Paul." Choose the right categories on your Google Business Profile, add photos there too, and link it to your website. Our Launch plan includes Google listing cleanup and connects your new site to your listing.
What a salon or barbershop website costs
A one-page Spark site at $350 is enough for many shops: services and prices, hours, photos, a booking or text button, and your Instagram link. Shop at $750 gives you separate pages for services, your team and contact, and Launch at $1,300 adds Google listing cleanup plus 30 days of text and photo edits. Add a simple logo for $50 or a photo pass for $75. Compare everything on our pricing page, and see what we include for different businesses on our page about websites for contractors, restaurants and salons.
Common mistakes on salon and barbershop websites
- No prices at all, which sends clients to the shop down the street that lists them.
- A booking link buried at the bottom of the page or missing completely.
- Old photos that no longer match your style, your team or your space.
- Hours that do not match Google, so clients show up when you are closed.
- Huge image sliders and videos that make the page slow on a phone and push your book button out of sight.
A quick checklist before you launch
Open your site on your own phone and try to book an appointment in under 30 seconds. Make sure every service has a price or a starting price. Check that each stylist's booking link goes to the right person. Confirm your hours and phone number match your Google profile. Then text the link to a few regular clients and ask what they would change. Their answers are the best edit list you will get.
