1. Who we are
These terms cover website design and related services from T&J Marketing ("we", "us"), reachable by email at sales@tjsbuilder.com, by phone at 651-461-7111, or by text at 763-229-2730. "You" means the business or person asking us for a website.
2. Draft first, no money up front
When you ask for a website, we build a draft before you pay anything. We do not ask for a card or a deposit to start. Asking for a draft does not commit you to buy anything.
3. Reviewing the draft and requesting changes
We send you the draft to review. You can ask for changes within the edit rounds included in your plan: one edit round with Spark, two with Shop and Launch. If you want changes beyond the included rounds, we can quote them before any work is done, and nothing extra is charged unless you agree to the quote.
4. You approve before you pay
Payment is due after you review the draft, approve it, and tell us you want to keep the site. If you decide not to keep it, the project ends and you owe nothing.
5. Refunds
Because nothing is paid before you approve your draft, no payment is taken for a draft you do not approve. If you have a question about a payment, email us and we will look into it.
6. Prices
Plan and add-on prices are the ones shown on our website and in your quote at the time you ask for your draft. We will confirm the total with you before you pay. Recurring items, such as the optional domain name ($25 a year) and optional monthly care ($70 a month), are billed only if you keep the site.
7. Domain names
A domain name is an optional add-on at $25 a year and is not included in the plans. If you choose it and keep the site, we register it after you approve the draft. The domain is registered in your name or transferred to you.
8. Monthly care
Monthly care is optional. It covers updates to hours, seasonal photos, and small text changes after handoff. You can cancel any month.
9. What you send us
You are responsible for the information, text, logos, and photos you send us, and for making sure you have the right to use them on your website. You keep the rights to what you send us, and you allow us to use it only to build your draft and work on your site.
10. Handoff and ownership
Once you approve the draft and pay, we hand you the site (and register your optional domain, if you chose one). Once your project is paid in full, you own your site's content and design, and your domain is registered in your name or transferred to you. See how handoff works for the step-by-step process.
11. Drafts you do not approve
Drafts are shared with you as a private, unlisted preview link and are marked so search engines do not index them. If you do not approve a draft, we do not publish it and there is no charge. We take the preview link down and delete the draft.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. The terms in place when you approve your draft apply to that project.
